Skull Base Surgery and Neurosurgery
Today, surgical innovations in other areas of the body have led to significant advances in brain surgery. Minimally-invasive endoscopic techniques are helping surgeons access and correct deformities without damaging delicate brain tissue. Using tiny, endoscopic instruments, surgeons can now access these delicate areas through the nose, eyebrow or through incisions as small as a dime in back of the ear. These tiny incisions offer patients the benefits of less evidence of surgery, less scarring and a faster recovery and return to activities.
At ICON we offer a multi-specialty team approach to every patient. Our physicians are board certified and have the ability to perform image-guided, stereotactic surgery. This form of surgery involves the use of computers to more accurately diagnose and map the disease for surgery.
