Our team of specialists and therapists work together with your physician, yourself, and your family/caregiver to help you regain independence.
The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation program is staffed by:
- Occupational Therapists who help patients relearn the tasks of daily living such as bathing, eating, getting dressed and household chores in order to function more independently and safely
- Physical Therapists who work with patients to improve muscle strength, walking and mobility
- Speech and Language Pathologists who assist patients with swallowing problems, and help their ability to understand, remember, speak and read
- Physicians who assess and treat medical problems that may occur with these illnesses and injuries such as paralysis, breathing or heart problems, pain, and behavioral changes such as depression or verbal outbursts
- Registered Nurses/Aids who provide ongoing care, support and assistance to help patients feel better and stay on schedule for therapy sessions.
