Our Healthy Beginnings Program offered by Desert Regional Medical Center provides the tools you'll need to get off to a happy start with your new baby. Trained professional staff provides support and educational classes for learning everything you need to know to have a healthy baby.

Healthy Beginnings is a program for parents-to-be and new parents, helping them give their newborns a healthy start. A variety of classes are offered related to pregnancy and infant care. In addition, counseling is provided in prenatal care, the importance of nutrition and breastfeeding

Healthy Beginnings benefits include:

  • free confidential pregnancy testing
  • Assistance with Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, and Family Pack applications
  • Referral to an obstetrician of your choice
  • Prenatal, nutrition and breastfeeding counseling
  • Pregnancy and infant care classes
  • Hospital tours
  • Sweet Success Program

In addition, we will help you find a caring pediatrician for well baby check-ups, immunizations, and special care when you child is ill. And offer you access to other special services such as:
